1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using the Sit meditation service ("Sit", "the Service"), operated by Humans in the Loop, LLC, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). Sit is available as a web application at sitmeditationapp.com and may also be available through mobile app stores. If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

Sit is a meditation service that generates personalized guided meditation sessions. Sit uses artificial intelligence to create meditation scripts and convert them to audio based on your selected preferences. The Service is primarily delivered as a web application, accessible through your browser on any device.

3. Health Disclaimer

Sit is not a medical device and does not provide medical advice. The meditation content generated by the Service is for general wellness purposes only. It is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease or health condition. If you have a medical condition or mental health concern, consult a qualified healthcare provider before using the Service.

Do not use the Service while driving, operating machinery, or in any situation that requires your full attention. If you selected the "Walking" position, exercise caution and remain aware of your surroundings at all times.

4. Eligibility

You must be at least 16 years old to use the Service (or at least 13 years old if you are in the United States). If you are under 18, you must have the consent of a parent or guardian.

5. Account

You may be required to create an account to access certain features. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account.

6. Subscriptions & Payment

Free Tier: Sit offers limited free access to meditation sessions.

Premium Subscription: A premium subscription is available at $9.99/month. By subscribing, you agree to the following:

• Payment is processed securely by Stripe, our third-party payment processor. You may be asked to provide a payment method (such as a credit or debit card) directly to Stripe.
• Subscriptions are managed through RevenueCat, which coordinates billing across platforms.
• Your subscription automatically renews each month unless you cancel before the end of the current billing period.
• You can manage and cancel your subscription through your account settings at any time.
• Any unused portion of a free trial period (if offered) will be forfeited when you purchase a subscription.

Prices may change with notice. Payment transactions are handled by Stripe and are subject to Stripe's terms and conditions. In the future, subscriptions may also be available through Apple's App Store or Google Play, subject to their respective terms and fees.

7. AI-Generated Content

All meditation scripts and audio are generated by artificial intelligence. While we strive for high-quality, safe content:

• AI-generated content may occasionally contain errors, inconsistencies, or unexpected output.
• Each session is unique and generated on demand — we cannot guarantee identical results from identical inputs.
• Generated meditation scripts are not reviewed by human meditation instructors before delivery.

We are not liable for any discomfort, dissatisfaction, or harm arising from AI-generated meditation content.

8. Intellectual Property

The Service, its design, features, and underlying technology are owned by Humans in the Loop, LLC. AI-generated meditation sessions are created for your personal, non-commercial use. You may not:

• Redistribute, resell, or publicly perform generated meditation audio.
• Use the Service to generate content for competing products or services.
• Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the Service's source code.

9. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose.
• Attempt to overwhelm, abuse, or exploit the Service's generation capabilities.
• Circumvent any access controls, rate limits, or security measures.
• Impersonate another person or misrepresent your identity.

10. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at our discretion if you violate these Terms. You may delete your account at any time through the Service settings or by contacting us.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Humans in the Loop, LLC shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of the Service.

Our total liability for any claims arising from these Terms or use of the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

12. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not guarantee uninterrupted, error-free, or secure access to the Service.

13. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated through the Service or by email. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

14. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of competent jurisdiction.
